The Village of Ortonville Planning Commission approved the distribution of the 2023 Future Land Use Map and we invite your comments regarding this endeavor. We have uploaded the draft Future Land Use Map to the Village’s website for your review and comment.

The electronic version (PDF) of the draft Map can be found here.

Consistent with the provisions of Michigan Public Act 33 of 2008, as amended (the Michigan Planning Enabling Act), the Village of Ortonville Planning Commission is providing this notice.  Should you prefer a paper copy of the draft Map, please contact me or the Village Office and one will be provided to you. Because the Future Land Use Map also updates the Master Plan, this notice and public comment period have been created to encourage comment on the proposed changes.

Your comments and/or questions may be sent via mail to the Village of Ortonville Planning Commission, P.O. Box 928, Ortonville, MI 48462, 476 Mill Street, via email to Ryan Madis at [email protected], or in person at one of our meetings.

Regular meetings of the Village Planning Commission are held on the first Monday of each month at 7:00 PM at Ortonville’s Old Town Hall, 486 Mill Street, Ortonville, Michigan 48462.

In accordance with the MPEA, the review period is 63 days. Thus, any comments regarding the proposed Future Land Use Map must be received by May 4, 2023.
